The BYPASS system is designed for mounting two door panels that are guided on two parallel guide rails. The door panels slide one behind the other, so that in the open position they take up significantly less wall space than traditional two-panel sliding doors. This makes the system ideal for areas where wall space is limited or the room layout does not allow for a conventional sliding door solution.
In the BYPASS system, each door panel runs on a separate guide rail. The inner rail runs closer to the wall, while the outer rail is positioned in front of it. This allows the door panels to overlap easily and stand one behind the other on the same side of the door opening when open. This reduces the wall space required by up to half compared to traditional two-panel sliding doors.
The system is available in two installation options:
-- BYPASS Wall Mounting – the guide rails are fastened using special wall brackets. Ideal for standard door openings with appropriate lintel.
-- BYPASS Ceiling Mounting – both guide rails are mounted directly to the ceiling. The optimal solution for floor-to-ceiling openings or when wall mounting is not possible.
-- When there is not enough space next to the door opening to slide two door panels in opposite directions.
-- For walk-in closets, niches, and built-in installations where comfortable access to the entire area is desired without having to leave space for traditional swing doors.
-- For wide openings between rooms.
The BYPASS system is available in configurations with 2 or 4 door panels.
-- 2 Door Panels – the most commonly chosen solution for standard door openings, walk-in closets, and niches. Each door panel runs on a separate rail, and when opening, both panels position themselves one behind the other.
-- 4 Door Panels – developed for particularly wide openings or as a room divider. Two door panels move on each of the two guide rails, making it possible to comfortably close wide openings while keeping the sliding motion compact.
