House in 80s style with tiled stove and glass doors
At the #MeineRenoTueren competition held in 2022, @unser_80er_haus won their dream door, which they installed in the living area of the house between the dining room and living room. It's a beautiful accent for this unique design arrangement.
The renovated house is furnished in the style of the 80s. Here vintage meets modern, creating a unique composition. The living area of the house, which consists of a kitchen combined with a dining room and living room, is very spacious. It impresses with play of light—natural light through large windows during the day, atmospheric lighting after dark.
The walls in the living area are painted white and the floor is tiled. Furniture and accessories in the style of 80s patterns reflect the atmosphere of days past. There's a display case with vintage tableware. There's an industrial display case that serves as a bar. There are open shelves holding jars with bulk foods and spices. There are wooden dressers and tables in retro style. There's also a green tiled stove with a seating area that not only provides warmth but also creates a wonderful atmosphere. Lots of wood, wicker, and rattan, along with friendly textiles, create a homey, cozy character.
Glass sliding doors fit perfectly into this arrangement, installed between the dining and living rooms. The black metal door frame echoes metal accessories and furnishings. Transparent glass allows plenty of light between the rooms. The interior of the house feels more spacious, while the rooms are connected to each other. The overall effect is fascinating.
